It doesn't matter how BRILLIANT your work is, if no one knows about it.

To get more clients you need to help them FIND YOU.

Here are 3 tips that can help your “ideal client” find you.

1. Create a Key Message

To get more clients you need to let the market know what you stand for. What is your area of expertise and why did you choose it?

To keep it simple, you can start with a 3 pillar model. That would be your top three core messages that you want to stick to most of the time.

For example, my message is:

  1. Issue to address: The job market is changing, unemployment and underemployment is on the rise.
  2. Action Required: Encourage and support more people to embrace entrepreneurship.
  3. Desired Outcome: Multiple streams income.

2. Define Your Value

Once you know what you stand for, it becomes easier to focus on problems you want to solve.

Having clarity on what problem you are solving, can make it easier to select the right products and services and offer solutions that fit your core values.

So, ask yourself…

What problem are you solving in the marketplace and why should anyone pick you to solve it for them?

Let's consider my message as an example…

PROBLEM: Transitioning job market.

Many people are starting a business because they cannot find a job. That's why many business failures can be attributed to the business owner. Their lack of self-awareness, business, marketing and industry knowledge has led them down the wrong path. That's why I am very passionate about business education and why we need to encourage and support more people on this entrepreneurial journey.

WHY ME? After 20 years in the corporate world, I had to make that transition from employee to business owner myself. I know the obstacles and feeling of overwhelm very well.

By focusing on self-development and re-educating myself on new business and marketing strategies, I have transformed myself to think and work as an entrepreneur.

By finding a mentor and making new connections with other entrepreneurial minded people, I have been able to build a business that generates multiple streams of income while working from home or anywhere I please.

3. Share Your Value

To get more clients, you need to share your value so the right clients can find you.

Create and share a strategic piece of content like a presentation, webinar or masterclass. One strategic piece of content can open more doors for you than many irrelevant posts.

Help them see that this is your main area of focus and that you are determined to find and deliver the best solutions.
